Softing TDX is the ideal tool support for OEMs and component manufacturers for creating and maintaining an individual, modular repair shop tester with integrated role and user management. Manufacturers of vehicles, mobile working machinery as well as their ECUs can thus provide control-unit and problem-specific repair and maintenance procedures within their worldwide service network whilst taking security aspects into account. This makes it possible for technicians on site to carry out efficient maintenance and repairs. All necessary diagnostic functions for error localization, troubleshooting and the commissioning of individual components or entire vehicles are supported. The administration of the diagnostic content and the rollout are cloud-based.
With the aim of making diagnostics as efficient as possible and thus saving time, the Softing TDX toolbox enables optimal tool support for the independent creation and maintenance of a diagnostic tester in all phases of the DESIGN - MANAGE - WORK workflow.
The DESIGN component Softing TDX.studio is used for the independent creation of a repair shop tester. Novel operating concepts can be realized and user interfaces designed absolutely freely until a proprietary corporate design (CD) has been completely implemented. Underlying processes and diagnostic data are stored, additional information, such as repair instructions, exploded drawings, videos and web content, is integrated and languages are defined in the intuitive development environment.
MANAGE is the job of the cloud Softing TDX.server which is used to specify roles and user rights. Program and project functions can be activated and managed user-specifically via a central database. Role keys and certificates are distributed and maintained automatically. Updates of the software and diagnostic content can also be controlled from here. The possibility of cloud integration results in a single point of administration that controls everything from authentication and the release of information to roll-out.
WORK is the job of the actual repair shop tester Softing TDX.workshop. It provides optimal support for mechanics and service technicians on site when it comes to error localization, troubleshooting and the commissioning of individual components or entire vehicles and makes all the necessary diagnostic functions available from guided troubleshooting to ECU exchange/update. Depending on the error symptom, the approach to diagnostics can be ECU-, symptom- or function-based.
We would be happy to advise you on the development and implementation of your diagnostic concept. Or you can start independently and create your own diagnostic tester. Our intuitive tools support you throughout the process – from creation and testing to rollout and subsequent maintenance of the tester.
There is an incredible amount of expertise and potential to be protected from misuse in service applications – Softing TDX is ready to do just that. Licensing stops the software from being copied and user management prevents misuse. And the data on the hard disk is safe thanks to user-specific encryption. The integrated role concept offers functional limitations or approvals for different user groups, such as access to specific service functions exclusively for specially trained personnel.
Softing TDX implements freely accessible, international diagnostic standards (ODX and OTX) and thus guarantees smooth interchangeability and distribution from engineering through to after-sales service as well as between several brands or manufacturers and suppliers.

Targeted repair and maintenance as well as the rollout of software updates play an essential role in after-sales as vehicle architectures become increasingly complex. Adaptive, digital platforms are particularly important when it comes to providing repair shops with the best possible support in meeting these challenges. Repair times, the exchange of components as well as the updating of software should be carried out as quickly and transparently as possible, depending on the requirements. As a complete solution for after-sales, Softing TDX offers exactly this agility. The integrated tool solutions – Softing TDX.studio, Softing TDX.admin and Softing TDX.workshop – make it possible to independently create and maintain a diagnostic tester to suit individual requirements. Furthermore, the platform-independent repair shop tester Softing TDX makes it possible to integrate feedback from technicians into the system, roll out software updates and control these centrally, as well as aid mechanics on site with remote support by involving an expert from a distance. In this video, you find out how these tasks can be efficiently managed with the Softing TDX tool chain.
