D-PDU API (ISO 22900)

Standardized software for diagnostic protocols

The D-PDU API is an API for accessing vehicle interfaces (VCIs). The protocols as well as the inputs and outputs of the VCIs are handled transparently for the application.

Access usually takes place via a D-Server in accordance with ISO 22900-3; it is, however, also straightforward to access the D-PDU API directly for simpler applications.

Softing experience

Softing played an active role in standardization from the very beginning and included the company's tried and tested predecessor solutions into standardization as a basis. As these were implemented parallel to standardization, we have considerable experience that also stems from our implementations of the D-Server. Furthermore, we have developed numerous manufacturer-specific protocols in the D-PDU API to support migration scenarios. To protect investments that have already been made, we also used our expertise in protocol implementation to make communication interfaces available in diagnostic applications via the D-PDU API.

Vehicle Communication InterfacesAll our EDIC-MVCI diagnostic interfaces as well as the VCIs of the HS family are delivered with a D-PDU API. Our CAN interfaces can also be equipped with a D-PDU API, as an extra option.
