TestCUBE2: Frontloading in diagnostic tests now even simpler thanks to ODX integration

The latest version of Softing's diagnostic simulation TestCUBE2 now ensures reliable diagnostic tests even faster – well before the ECU is actually available. Whereas previously ECU responses have had to be entered as telegrams, these can now be configured directly using ODX data.

TestCUBE2: Frontloading im Diagnosetest dank ODX-Integration jetzt noch einfacher

TestCUBE2 is always used when there is no ECU available. Creating test sequences is often challenging right along the value chain: There is no ECU as a counterpart in testing. But particularly in the test environment, the test methodology should be developed at an early stage so that function tests can be run as soon as ECUs are available. In what is referred to as "frontloading", TestCUBE2 provides ECUs for simulation and analysis on a virtual basis so that these can be verified and tested during ECU development at an early stage of the design and engineering process.

In the new version, the response telegrams can now be configured either on an ODX basis or as hex telegrams. The former is fast, convenient and without error as only the responses described in ODX are used. Furthermore, the description of hex telegrams also permits the simulation of incorrect responses to test whether an ECU reacts correctly when it receives "false" inquiries from the tester.

TestCUBE2 is a configurable hardware and software solution for simulating ECU diagnostics with real bus communication. With just one device, you can simulate several ECUs or even an entire vehicle at the same time.
