Softing TCS offers a modern diagnostic simulation consisting of the simulation hardware, a configuration application and an API for integrating the hardware into test automations. The hardware is flexibly tailored to current and future requirements due to the multicore Linux platform used. It has an OBD socket and thus provides a complete diagnostic view of a vehicle. Alternatively, CAN can also be accessed as usual via a D-SUB socket. Simulation files for different ECUs or vehicles are brought to the device via a LAN connection or USB stick.
Softing Automotive welcomes you again this year to the Diagnostics Conference in Dresden. On May 17 and 18, you will learn everything about diagnostics in mechatronic vehicle systems. Among others, Claudio Amato, Product Manager at Softing Automitive, will present the innovations in parallel remote access on Tuesday, May 17.
In our product catalog we provide you with an up-to-date overview of the Softing Automotive range. With our core areas of expertise, diagnostics, testing, engineering and telematics, we provide products and solutions for automotive electronics as well as closely related areas of the vehicle industry including new mobility concepts like vehicle rental or sharing.
Modern vehicles contain extensive hardware and software functionality that has to be checked, verified and safeguarded from all sides. This task is particularly challenging because it takes a longtime during vehicle engineering before these components are installed in a real vehicle and can thus be tested in a real environment. With individual function and hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) test systems, any conceivable test scenario can be covered and easily simulated in the laboratory without risking real vehicles or endangering the lives of test drivers.
If high-voltage components or subsystems of electric and hybrid vehicles are to be tested, HV components must be constructed so that they are safe to touch and all queries to be measured or influenced must be fed to the test system galvanically isolated from the high voltage. Softing realizes special test adapters for HV control units, in other words for Battery Management Controllers (BMC) as well as for Cell Supervision Electronics (CSE).
Passive cell simulations are used to avoid being permanently dependent on real batteries or very complex and expensive active cell simulations during the development of Cell Supervision Electronics (CSE). These simulate the complete cell stack in a balanced state of charge, the individual cell controllers detect suitably charged cells and thus a fully functional battery system.
Together with Kvaser, we now offer a robust plug & play solution for all after-sales diagnostic tasks that can withstand even the toughest demands in the workshop environment. The combination of intuitive diagnostic software from Softing and the powerful U100 vehicle interface from Kvaser is the ideal solution for fault localization, repair and commissioning of individual components as well as entire vehicle systems, including electric vehicles and mobile machines.
During the development of electric and hybrid vehicles, high-voltage capacity decades (HV-C decades) are used to replace the DC link capacity in the vehicle. Thus, they simulate one of the most important energy storage devices of the power electronic vehicle system.
HV insulation fault simulations are used to test and validate safety-relevant system functions, either during the engineering process or also after repairs carried out by after-sales service or the repair shop, or directly on the vehicle.
