Modern Diagnostic Test Stations for the Chamber of Crafts Frankfurt (Oder)

We are pleased to be equipping the automotive competence center of the Chamber of Crafts Frankfurt (Oder) – Region Ostbrandenburg in Hennickendorf, which is in the course of being set up, with the latest simulation and diagnostic technology for its innovative teaching concept! As one component of the “diagnostic test stations” supplied, the Softing TCS simulation boxes enable the mapping of vehicle networking via Automotive Ethernet (DoIP) as well as classically via CAN-FD. This makes it possible to simulate realistic error scenarios in vehicle communication and experience them in a practical way.

Episode 14 "Pocket Diagnostics" with Ed & Ted

A typical diagnostic system is made up of several components: The comprehensive test application runs on a PC and is connected to the vehicle via a hardware interface (VCI) by cable or wirelessly. However, in applications where frequent vehicle changes or recurring test and flash processes are required, this system can often be too complex, unwieldy and costly. In addition, extensive expertise is required to ensure correct diagnostics and avoid damage to the software, hardware or vehicle. The VIN|ING 2000 PDX is a simplified solution.

New Solution Spotlight "Autarkic Testing with Smart VCI"

With the stand-alone tester ‘VIN|ING 2000 PDX’, Softing offers a self-sufficient test solution for vehicle diagnostics that can be carried out directly on the vehicle without a PC or laptop. The compact, user-friendly solution enables ECU updates and diagnostics directly on the vehicle and is controlled via OTX scripts. Programmable buttons and coloured LED lights facilitate operation and indicate the current status of the application. The solution is suitable for use in production, road tests and after-sales service, saves time and costs and can also be operated by semi-skilled personnel after configuration. The ability to operate several devices in parallel further increases efficiency.

"Solution Spotlights" | Get to know our new short videos!

Our new video series "Solution Spotlights" is now available for you. Our trainers use practical examples to introduce you to the challenges of automotive electronics as well as concrete solution approaches and their benefits. The short videos are not only suitable for experts, but also for beginners from the areas of development, production as well as aftersales. Each topic is explained in an easy-to-understand manner and is also clearly illustrated by a short demo of the use case from practice.

VIN|ING 2000 – The High-Performance Manufacturing Solution

VIN|NIG 2000 – The High-Performance Manufacturing Solution

In vehicle manufacturing, very high demands are placed on timing, performance and system stability. For the vehicle communication interface (VCI), this means that the protocol stack for the communication software is executed in real time on the VCI without interruption and that communication with the host PC takes place via a powerful interface. Special requirements are also made of connection management to ensure and control secure access to a large number of VCIs. Softing´s answer to these high demands in manufacturing is the VCI VIN|ING 2000.

Efficient, Scalable Diagnostics on the Test Carrier – Even when Working at Home

Efficient, Scalable Diagnostics on the Test Carrier

Reading out and documenting vehicles during and at the end of a test day is extremely time consuming. An interface is plugged into the test carrier, the tester application is connected, and automatic or interactive tests are performed. The procedure is repeated – per vehicle and per readout time, for example before and after a test drive. The solution for efficient and scalable diagnostics even when working at home is Softing DTS.monaco in combination with the VCI VIN|ING 2000.

VIN|ING 2000 – The Innovative Leap in ECU Access

VIN|ING 2000 – The Innovative Leap in ECU Access

Vehicle Communication Interfaces (VCIs) are the central component when it comes to tester systems accessing the electronic control units (ECUs) that perform a wide range of control and regulation tasks in modern vehicles, including diagnostic functionality. The answer to the increasingly complex tasks and requirements of diagnostics is the multipurpose VCI VIN|ING 2000.

Integrated Diagnosis for SOTA

Integrated Diagnosis for SOTA

Softing published an technical article "Integrated Diagnosis for SOTA" about the advantages of using a lean diagnostic runtime system on a high-performance vehicle interface: Vehicles of the future will require complex vehicle diagnostics. To satisfy these requirements, Softing now offers a new VCI generation as well as an easy-to-use software component which can be implemented universally for running diagnostic tasks. The combination of the two products covers new use cases and offers users particular benefits.
