As one component of the “diagnostic test stations” supplied, the Softing TCS simulation boxes enable the mapping of vehicle networking via Automotive Ethernet (DoIP) as well as classically via CAN-FD. This makes it possible to simulate realistic error scenarios in vehicle communication and experience them in a practical way.
<enclosure

For the vehicle communication interface (VCI), this means that the protocol stack for the communication software is executed in real time on the VCI without interruption and that communication with the host PC takes place via a powerful interface. Special requirements are also made of connection management to ensure and control secure access to a large number of VCIs. Softing´s answer to these high demands in manufacturing is the VCI VIN|ING 2000.
<enclosure

It was developed with the goal of standardizing different implementations of the predecessor standards and new requirements stemming from further developments in technology and new standards to form one generally valid diagnostic protocol. UDS describes the layer 7 protocol (diagnostic services) but is based on an extended version of the diagnostic protocol of KWP2000 on CAN (ISO 15765-2).
<enclosure
