Webinar | SOVD - Standardized Diagnostic Access to SDVs

Learn all about SOVD (Service-Oriented Vehicle Diagnostics), the standard for diagnostics in the software-defined vehicle (SDV). Learn how SOVD enables standardised access to diagnostic systems via an API - from remote access to applications in production and workshops. Discover use cases, basic concepts and benefits of this future-orientated approach for the automotive industry.

Manage Remote Connections Fast and Easy with Ed & Ted

While the connection to the vehicle was established via a cable, vehicle communication in today's remote scenarios is much more complex. Softing offers a broker solution that allows you to clearly identify numerous communication partners, such as applications and vehicle interfaces, and establish a secure connection throughout the vehicle's lifecycle. Communication partners, access rights and software versions are managed via an intuitive web application, providing maximum flexibility for remote diagnostic and test scenarios.

Webinar Recording now Available | Simplify Diagnostic Applications Using service-Oriented APIs

In this webinar recording, we will present developments in automotive software and show how Softing is constantly improving its software offering to help its customers meet the latest market trends and standards. In doing so, we offer user-friendly, service-oriented software APIs that simplify the complexity of today's and tomorrow's diagnostic standards.

Modern Diagnostic Test Stations for the Chamber of Crafts Frankfurt (Oder)

We are pleased to be equipping the automotive competence center of the Chamber of Crafts Frankfurt (Oder) – Region Ostbrandenburg in Hennickendorf, which is in the course of being set up, with the latest simulation and diagnostic technology for its innovative teaching concept! As one component of the “diagnostic test stations” supplied, the Softing TCS simulation boxes enable the mapping of vehicle networking via Automotive Ethernet (DoIP) as well as classically via CAN-FD. This makes it possible to simulate realistic error scenarios in vehicle communication and experience them in a practical way.

Central Data Platform for the Diagnostics of the Future | Technical Article

The digital transformation in aftersales uses cloud technology to make diagnostic and repair data available centrally. This enables workshops and manufacturers to exchange vehicle data, repair histories and diagnostic processes efficiently and securely. The Softing TDX.server serves as a central data platform that manages vehicle data and user access and optimises diagnostic processes. Role-based access rights secure the data and feedback from the workshops continuously improves the quality of the diagnostic content.

Episode 14 "Pocket Diagnostics" with Ed & Ted

A typical diagnostic system is made up of several components: The comprehensive test application runs on a PC and is connected to the vehicle via a hardware interface (VCI) by cable or wirelessly. However, in applications where frequent vehicle changes or recurring test and flash processes are required, this system can often be too complex, unwieldy and costly. In addition, extensive expertise is required to ensure correct diagnostics and avoid damage to the software, hardware or vehicle. The VIN|ING 2000 PDX is a simplified solution.
