Softing Automotive – New Structure

With its Automotive units, Softing is a reliable partner offering a wide range of services in the areas of diagnostics, measurement and testing. The company is aiming to structure the Automotive portfolio more clearly, optimize the processes relevant for clients and bundle expertise. To this end Softing has initiated a reorganization process in the Automotive segment which takes effect on August 1, 2018.

With a compact design and WLAN, LAN and USB as interfaces to the host system as well as CAN, K-Line and Ethernet to the vehicle, VIN|ING 2000 is particularly well suited for future-proof diagnostic applications. The MVCI server on the VCI enables Remote scenarios as well as ODX- and OTX-based stand-alone solutions.

Softing extends its Automotive presence in China

Softing and its long term distributor Windhill have jointly founded „Softing Technology Shanghai“. The Joint Venture recognized the significance of the Chinese Automotive market which is showing a rapidly growing demand for products and projects related to vehicle diagnostics, a core competence of Softing Automotive Electronics division.

Diagnostic Tool Set 8: Release 12 now facilitates the flashing of data of more than 4 Gigabytes – also over DoIP!

The latest release 12 also comprises several improvements in relation to performance and user-friendliness. Further development focused in particular on the flashing of large quantities of data. The logging of the OTX Runtime and the handling of the vehicle quick test in the engineering tester DTS Monaco have also been simplified.

The universal repair shop tool is intended to be used by vehicle and component manufacturers. It supports all necessary diagnostic functions in troubleshooting, repair and in the setup of entire vehicles or individual components.
