We congratulate our esteemed colleague Peter Subke on the publication of his third technical book "Vehicle Diagnostics – Fundamentals, Bus Systems, Protocols, Applications." The book supports engineers and technicians from development, testing, production and service at vehicle manufacturers and suppliers who deal with mechatronic systems, their data exchange and diagnostic protocols or services and who are interested in innovations based on networked and intelligent electronic systems. On 4th April 2024, the i-Mobility event was inaugurated in Stuttgart by Transport Minister Winfried Hermann. Subsequently, Minister Hermann visited the booth for the research project AMEISE, supported by the Ministry of Transport Baden-Württemberg. It was an honor to discuss with him the potentials of autonomous driving in public transportation! The goal of the "AMEISE" project is the development and research of highly automated, emission-free vehicles for passenger transport in public transport and the exploration of success factors for the faster spread of autonomous driving in public transport in Baden-Württemberg.
