Softing Gains Softwarehelden as a Strategic Partner

Softing Automotive and the Softing subsidiary Globalmatix have today announced a strategic cooperation with digitalization experts Softwarehelden GmbH & Co. KG. In the past, the three companies have worked together on projects that have been implemented successfully and have now decided to bundle their core competencies in a cooperation. Customers will benefit from the perfect interaction of innovative hardware and intelligent software solutions.

The Stuttgart-based Softwarehelden ("software heroes") have provided effective support for Softing’s hardware solutions in the past with their digitalization platform Cluu. One joint product is Assisted Fleet Management for managing vehicle fleets. The xTCU developed by Globalmatix turns every vehicle into a connected car, regardless of manufacturer and model, providing manufacturers with verified vehicle diagnostics in real time. Vehicle data is collected and then made available to customers via the cloud-based software platform Cluu. For example, logbooks can largely be kept automatically and supplemented with data from the trip or diagnostic values along the route.

In the future, the companies intend to use the optimally complementary products and the bundled core competencies for the rapid development of enterprise-ready and secure digitization solutions. The partners hope to achieve positive economies of scale and higher value creation for customers, such as automotive manufacturers and owners of large fleets, with the exchange between the teams and their expertise.

“With the Softwarehelden service portfolio, Softing can now offer complete project scopes from a single source, from the vehicle to advanced Big Data analysis and data preparation. Particularly in the area of cloud and back-end applications, a gap can now be closed with a highly efficient and flexible cloud platform used on a daily basis by many OEMs”, says Dr. Wolfgang Trier, CEO at Softing AG.

Uli Held, Managing Director at Softwarehelden, is looking forward to continued collaboration: “We are pleased to have a strong partner such as Softing at our side. And we will be able to involve our colleagues from Softing in our plans in the future to better meet the major customer interest in our products. In return, Softing will benefit from our exceptional speed in the development of web-based systems. Cluu is a low-code platform. Large parts of applications are not programmed, but simply modeled. Together we have been able to implement Softing customer requirements within a few days on a number of occasions and have then made directly usable solutions available in the cloud. The fact that our products complement each other perfectly is a real stroke of luck.”
