Innovative Telematics Solution for the New Dimension of Digital Mixed Fleet Management

"Connected Car" and "Shared Mobility" continue to be among the biggest trends in the automotive industry. The potential hidden is enormous. For managers of mixed fleets, there are countless opportunities to operate even more efficiently and cost-effectively. 

Softing subsidiary GlobalmatiX has developed an innovative telematics solution for this purpose that enables all conceivable "car to cloud to company" use cases of the digital mixed fleet management of the future. Test the Tester – Simulation of DoIP Control Units as a New Challenge

In the course of the 'ECU Lifecycle', the required control unit or its communication environment is often not yet available (e.g. in test preparation) or no longer available (e.g. in tester regression tests). In the first case, the creation of test sequences is delayed due to the lack of a suitable communication partner. In the second case, regression tests, e.g. on workshop testers, cannot be performed to the required test depth. In both cases, simulation is the tried and tested method of increasing efficiency and minimizing risk. The simulation of DoIP ECUs via Ethernet poses new challenges here, which arise from the protocol and infrastructure. 

Markus Steffelbauer, Head of Product Management at Softing, will show you our solution for diagnostic simulation of CAN ECUs and DoIP communication – for process-safe regression testing as well as easy commissioning of test sequences.

Benefits of Parallel Remote Access in Vehicle Development – Demonstration of Various Use Cases

The development of control units and vehicles is globally distributed over several locations – increasingly also from the home office. In addition, the tasks to be completed for each test carrier or test vehicle are repeated during testing and verifications. Developers must therefore be able to access globally distributed vehicles and test vehicles. On the other hand, it is important that repetitive tasks run efficiently, i.e. in parallel. 

The solution for maximum efficiency in development is therefore a combination of parallel and remote access. In addition to simple remote testing, this allows, for example, parallel status queries for an entire test fleet or parallel test bench updates. The prerequisite for this, in addition to secure connection management, is a fully comprehensive, remote-capable developer application.

Diagnostic Applications Manager Mirko Braun uses the example of the special "Multitest" interface in the Softing DTS.monaco development tester to show you the possibilities of parallel remote access to a remote test bench as well as to a vehicle.
