Softing TDX.admin is used to define roles and user-specific rights of the operators of the Softing TDX.workshop repair shop tester and control updates of the software and diagnostic content.

Overview
Among other things, Softing TDX.admin makes it possible to define roles and user-specific rights of the operators of the Softing TDX.workshop repair shop tester. A high degree of flexibility is ensured by the distinction between program functions and project functions, which are activated user-specifically and regulate the user rights in the repair shop tester using role keys. Management is taken care of by a central database (role and user database, RUDB), with which the role keys and certificates can be automatically distributed and maintained in the field. The database is also responsible for the update of software and content.
The intuitively operable user interface of Softing TDX.admin allows system administrators to create and manage roles and users. Tool tips facilitate navigation in the tool and support the administrator in the creation, assignment and management of user roles. Traceability is guaranteed as the administrator is automatically notified of newly registered users in the diagnostic tester.
Softing TDX.admin can be used to create a new simple, SQL-based role and user database (RUDB). This allows the implementation and use of a role model even if no company-wide database is yet available for this purpose. The integration of existing database infrastructures is also simple with Softing TDX.admin. The RUDB has a flexible connection and is independent of the interfaces of the database in use.
