Early Detection of Problems and Errors
DTS Monaco is part of the Diagnostic Tool Set product family and is based on the DTS Base System. Monaco stands for Modular Analyzer for Vehicle Communication.
It enables the interactive testing of diagnostic and control functions in the development of vehicle ECUs. This makes it possible to detect, and remedy, communication problems and function errors at an early stage. The functionality of several individual tools is now covered by a single tool.
Flexibly Adaptable to the Relevant Task
The GUI is intuitive to use and can be adapted to suit all kinds of tasks. The workspace is divided into two: one area with a fixed layout and one with layouts that you can toggle between using tabs. A status display below shows communication server messages. The various functions are realized using special, configurable interface elements. These HMIcontrols can be arranged freely in the layouts in configuration mode and can be fully configured. The entire workspace can be saved. Predefined templates are supplied for typical use scenarios. In run mode, a configured working area can be “started”, in other words enabled.
Ensuring Top Quality
Test sequences that can be automated make test results particularly easy to reproduce and enable very complex function tests. During validation, DTS Monaco also makes parameterizations possible that the ECU is not specified for. This means that not just good case but also bad case tests are possible at communication, data and function level. Communication data and test results can be saved as trace files or snapshots. Invalid responses from ECUs are detected and reported automatically, e.g. in the case of incorrect timing.
